Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Southampton as a Children’s Social Worker and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. We are looking for passionate and skilled individuals who are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and community partners to ensure the best outcomes for children in need of support and protection.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with families. Providing direct support and intervention to families to promote positive change. Working closely with schools, health services, and other agencies to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements and local policies.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in safeguarding and family support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with families and colleagues.
