We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Family Help Team in Luton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing support and intervention services to families in need, with a focus on safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families Providing direct support and intervention services to families in crisis Working collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for further support Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reportsEssential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration Experience working with children and families in a social work setting Strong assessment and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage challenging situationsIn addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in child protection, court work, and working with children in care will be highly desirable. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in training and supervision.
