As a Children’s Social Worker in the MASH team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting initial assessments and evaluations of children and families in need of support. Collaborating with various agencies, including health, education, and police, to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding concerns. Developing and implementing child protection plans and interventions tailored to individual family needs. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to make positive changes.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, preferably in a safeguarding context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Key responsibilities and duties:
Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families. Developing and implementing care plans to support children and families in crisis situations. Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and law enforcement, to ensure comprehensive support for families. Attending court hearings and providing evidence as needed in child protection cases. Participating in regular team meetings and case conferences to review progress and ensure effective safeguarding measures.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England. Demonstrated experience working in a similar role within children's services, with a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
