Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children in care and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC)? Join our dynamic team in Birmingham as a Qualified Social Worker (SSW) specializing in Children in Care & UASC. This role offers you the opportunity to work with vulnerable children and families, providing support and advocacy to ensure their safety, well-being, and development.

As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments to identify the needs of children in care and UASC. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Providing direct support and intervention to children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard. Maintaining accurate and timely case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements. Participating in court proceedings and contributing to legal processes as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working with children in care and UASC. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
