We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Duty & Assessment team in Tameside. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, making decisions on appropriate interventions, and providing support to vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Undertaking complex assessments to identify risks and needs of children and families. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users and partner agencies. Providing expert advice and guidance to less experienced team members. Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice standards.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration. Demonstrable experience working in a similar role within a statutory social work setting. Strong assessment and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.Additional requirements for this role include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
