We are seeking a passionate and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our Fostering Support Team. This role is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality support to foster carers, ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care. You will work closely with foster carers, children, and partner agencies to promote stability and positive placements.
Key Responsibilities:Provide ongoing support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring high standards of care.Conduct regular visits and assessments to monitor and review placements.Offer guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to foster carers.Work collaboratively with other professionals, including local authorities, health services, and education providers.Undertake necessary safeguarding responsibilities, ensuring child protection protocols are followed.Contribute to placement matching, recruitment, and retention of foster carers.Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with fostering regulations and policies.Participate in on-call duties as required.Requirements:Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and registered with Social Work England.Experience in fostering, children's services, or a related field.Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, child protection, and safeguarding procedures.Ability to build strong relationships with foster carers and young people.Excellent assessment, report writing, and communication skills.A commitment to promoting positive outcomes for children in care.Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
