Join our dedicated team at Agency FCA in Chelmsford as a Qualified Social Worker with Cafcass. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families. As a vital member of our agency, you will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the welfare and best interests of children are prioritized in all decision-making processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to inform care decisions. Developing and implementing intervention plans tailored to individual family needs. Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in line with agency policies. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including schools, healthcare providers, and legal entities. Providing expert advice and support to families navigating the social care system.

To thrive in this position, you will need the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in child protection and family support services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.

Are you a Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration seeking a rewarding opportunity with Cafcass? We are recruiting for two Agency Family Court Advisor (FCA) roles-one supporting Work After First Hearing (WAFH) in Private and Public Law, and one supporting Work to First Hearing (WTFH) in Private Law. Both roles are based from Chelmsford or Norwich and offer the chance to make a real impact for children and families.

You'll join a diverse, supportive team, working on high-profile court social work cases and supporting families through complex legal processes. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds to reflect the communities we serve.

Essential Criteria:

Qualified Social WorkerSWE registeredEnhanced DBS (within 12 months)Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Desirable:

3 years post-qualifying experience
