We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Herefordshire, specifically focusing on Children in Care on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in our community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Undertake assessments of children and families to determine their needs and develop care plans. Provide direct support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their well-being and safety. Work collaboratively with other professionals, such as health care providers and educators, to ensure holistic support for children. Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions in accordance with regulatory standards.Essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration and experience in working with children in care. Strong knowledge of child protection policies, legislation, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in challenging situations.
