Join our dedicated Children's Social Work Safeguarding Team in Southampton, where your expertise can make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Social Worker who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. You will play a vital role in assessing the needs of children, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring that the best interests of children are always at the forefront of your practice.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements. Developing and implementing effective care plans to address identified needs. Working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and families to deliver integrated support services. Managing a caseload effectively while ensuring timely intervention and support. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance practice and share learning.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in safeguarding and child protection. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to build effective relationships with children and families.
