The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This role is essential in ensuring that children with disabilities and their families receive the support and services they need to thrive. As a Qualified Social Worker in our CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop tailored support plans. Working collaboratively with families, schools, health services, and other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in children's social work.
