Join our dynamic Children's Social Work team in Redcar and Cleveland, where your expertise can make a significant difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to provide support and intervention for vulnerable children, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role will involve working collaboratively with families, local agencies, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for children in our community.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other stakeholders. Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, including crisis intervention when necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions and decisions. Staying informed about relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in children's social work.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families in a social work setting. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
