Join our dedicated team in Hertfordshire as a Qualified Social Worker in the Children’s SW - Assessment Safeguarding Team. This is an incredible opportunity for passionate professionals who want to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. You will play a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable children, assessing their needs, and ensuring they receive the support necessary for their well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding. Providing support and guidance to families, helping them access relevant services.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Sound knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding practices.
