We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Adoption Team in Luton. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families through the adoption process, ensuring the best outcomes for all involved.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Conducting assessments and home visits to evaluate potential adoptive families Providing support and guidance to birth parents, adoptive parents, and children throughout the adoption process Developing and implementing care plans to meet the individual needs of children awaiting adoption Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful adoptions Participating in court proceedings and case conferences as required

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England Demonstrated experience in children's social work, preferably within adoption services Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
