Social Worker - Initial Assessment Team

Location: Ballard House, Plymouth
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £39,513 - £43,693

Plymouth City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Initial Assessment Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a significant impact on children and families at the early stages of intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct initial assessments and investigations to ensure child safety and welfare.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to provide timely and effective interventions.

Manage and prioritise caseloads effectively within statutory guidelines.

Prepare detailed assessments, reports, and recommendations for safeguarding and support services.

Engage directly with children and families to assess needs and provide support.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQ) - ASYE completion alone does not qualify.

Strong experience in child protection, safeguarding, and initial assessments.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Social Worker - Children's Social Work Team

Location: Ballard House, Plymouth
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £39,513 - £43,693

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work Team at Plymouth City Council. This role is ideal for passionate professionals committed to ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children in need, child protection, and looked-after children cases.

Develop and implement care plans that promote positive outcomes for children and families.

Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide holistic and effective support.
