Are you a dedicated and passionate social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? CAFCASS is seeking a qualified Children's FCA (Family Court Advisor) to join our dynamic team in Liverpool. In this rewarding role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children involved in family court proceedings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to inform court decisions. Preparing detailed reports and recommendations for the court, ensuring the voice of the child is heard. Working collaboratively with legal professionals, local authorities, and other stakeholders to support the best outcomes for children. Providing expert advice and guidance on child welfare matters to judges and magistrates. Engaging with families to facilitate understanding and resolution of issues affecting children.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in working with children and families, particularly in a court context. Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to sensitive issues.

Social Work/Family Court Advisor (FCA) vacancies with Cafcass Manchester.

Caritas work with Cafcass to support with their recruitment. We currently have locum FCA roles available with Cafcass Manchester.

- You need to have Section 7 (Private Law) knowledge; experience is desirable but not essential

Cafcass' work is demanding so for you to succeed and truly make a difference you should be someone who;

- Is resilient and organised and can work proportionately

- Has strong intuitive IT skills

- Is an effective verbal and written communicator
