Isle of Wight - Senior Social Worker - Adoption Team

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of prospective adopters and children in need of adoption.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to adoptive families throughout the adoption process.
- Working collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best interests of children are prioritized.
- Managing complex cases, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in child protection or adoption.
- Strong understanding of adoption legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
