Harrow Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s SW - Disabilities Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children with disabilities and their families. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children with disabilities and their families.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to children and their families, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
