Join our dedicated Family First Team in Durham as a Children’s Team Member, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting families and children in need. As a qualified social worker, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and their families, developing and implementing tailored intervention plans, and ensuring that the welfare of children remains the top priority. Your expertise will be crucial in collaborating with various stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to promote positive outcomes for families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating individualized care plans.
- Providing direct support and guidance to children and families in crisis.
- Facilitating access to resources and services within the community.
- Documenting case notes and maintaining accurate records in compliance with legal standards.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases and share insights.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in child protection and family support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with diverse families.
