We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Social Work - Children in Care (CIC) Team in Milton. In this pivotal role, you will work collaboratively with children and families to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and development. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions that support children in care. Your expertise will contribute to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people within our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's needs and risks.
  • Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive parents.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams to promote the best interests of children.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working in children's services, particularly with children in care.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
