As a Children's Social Worker in the Youth Justice Team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing tailored intervention plans for young people in the youth justice system.

  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and court proceedings, representing the interests of the young person.
  • Monitoring and reviewing progress, ensuring compliance with court orders and service agreements.
  • Delivering training and workshops to foster understanding of youth justice issues within the community.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly in youth justice or related fields.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young people and families.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
