Job description
4 x SW/SSW required for newly formed Brief Intervention Team. The role is working with children and families currently subject to CIN plans, with the aim of stepping the cases down, or closing them down completely. The work is focused around early help and intervention, and whilst assessments and reports will need to be written up, there are no statutory assessments or court work required. Candidates need strong knowledge of early intervention and must have good assessment skills. Social Workers will be required to visit families face to face, subject to a risk assessment being carries out ? if the case is deemed high risk, visits will be conducted virtually. Each worker will be assigned 1 family per week, over an initial period of 12 weeks. The team has been put together in order to take some of the lower priority work away from the current workers across care management, it has initial sign off for 12 weeks but is expected to continue further than this, in 12 week increments. Due to the low complexity of the work, they are wanting SW grade candidates but would pay SSW if they cannot get the quality through at SW. Workers must have passed ASYE and have at least 1 year PQE.Reference: 387262
