Job description

This post is for an experienced Team Manager to lead a newly developed Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Team, located within the Children Looked After Service. The team consists of 6 practitioners in total:- 3 Qualified Social Workers and 3 Personal Advisors.

The candidate must have a relevant Social Work qualification. They will be required to provide strong leadership for the team and embed the new team within the service.
The candidate will need to have at least 3 years Team Manager experience, extensive skill, knowledge and experience of matters pertaining to unaccompanied minors and their needs, as well as Care Leavers knowledge and experience.
