Job description

There is an opportunity for a qualified social worker to join our Fostering team based in North East with effect from 12/06/2020.

Role Profile

  • supervise and manage foster care placements in accordance with the UK National Standards for Foster Care, Code of Practice and Fostering Services Regulations
  • manage and support your allocated caseload
  • recruit, assess, train and support foster carers
  • assess new foster carers’ suitability
  • update Form Fs for existing carers
  • produce and keep up to date reports detailing both initial and continuing approvals
  • strive to improve the services to children ‘Looked After’ and their carers
  • offer post placement expert support
  • assist with devising and facilitating training programmes with other team members
  • other professional duties as necessary

  • effectively promotes positive outcomes
  • establish trusting relationships with carers at assessment stage

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they can act, at all times, to promote equality of opportunities.
