Job description

We are seeking a Team Manager in North West to oversee a team consisting of new and experienced social workers. The successful applicant will be capable of ensuring an effective and efficient service is provided as well as delivering positive change within the department.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual who combines excellent supervisory and management skills with a BA/BSc/MA in Social Work (or equivalent). They should also be Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered and have significant previous experience in a social work role alongside a good knowledge of statutory legislation and practice standards.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a passion for developing new strategies which result in positive outcomes. They will be sufficiently experienced to competently address any concerns that arise, and to be able to model good practice by taking professional responsibility for the provision of a high-quality response service.

With the ability to lead, motivate and manage complex teams and practice issues candidates will be comfortable with taking accountability for the team, managing performance and quality assurance, resources and budgets in collaboration with other stakeholders.

Additional skills required include the ability to effectively determine priorities, assess needs and ensure the safeguarding of children.
