Our holistic approach, extensive network and national reach will find you the ideal candidate
We understand the challenges the social care sector faces today, with financial and human resources stretched further than ever, and an emphasis on improving standards across the board.
We receive over 600 temporary vacancies each month. It’s our mission to fill these vacancies by finding highly trained and motivated locum staff to provide vulnerable people with the support they need.
Each of our specialist consultants has a candidate network spanning the entire UK, with a pool of pre-vetted and fully qualified social workers who can quickly respond to your requirements.
This enables us to find the perfect candidate for your role, rather than just working to quotas. If you’re looking for a high number of applicants within a short timescale, then we can mobilise the UK’s largest team of consultants simultaneously to help make this happen.
Our specialist staff
Our dedicated team of Safeguarding Officers make sure that our vetting and compliance checks exceed the criteria outlined by the APSCo Social Work Compliance+ standards. Our Safeguarding Officers sign off on every candidate’s vetting criteria before they are placed on assignment.
Our social care candidates
We only recruit candidates from the social care sector, providing them with all the tools they need to hit the ground running at the start of each placement.
We encourage our candidates to undertake one or more of our subsidised training schemes, allowing them to exceed the HCPC’s CPD requirements.
We know the concerns employers have when taking on locum staff. That’s why we make sure that our clients are realistic in their expectations, and we’ll never place a candidate in a role that they’re not suited for. Our candidates are more mobile than most permanent staff, and are willing to re-locate if the right opportunity comes along.
We make sure that each of our candidates are rigorously vetted before being referred to clients, with checks including:
- Face-to-face interviews
- DBS checks
- Employment references
- Qualifications and registrations
- Work eligibility
- Health declaration
- Candidate engagement and retention
We aim to improve candidate engagement and retention across the sector, and have undertaken extensive research to identify how we can improve consistency.
We’ve now developed our own innovative approach to recruitment, based on extensive consultation with candidates. Through this, we can better understand what motivates candidates, and provide all the training resources and career guidance they need to stay motivated and keep learning.
We’re proud that our candidates are among the most driven on the market, promoting job stability and staff retention by tying together long- and short-term candidate goals.
