Caritas Managing Director Debbie Smith, was featured in the Recruitment International article, Predictions for Recruitment 2012, which appeared in the January edition of the magazine. Debbie's predictions for 2012 are:
“January has historically been one of the busiest months in the recruitment calendar, but the ‘new year, new job’ approach in 2012 looks set to be a huge gamble! In a recent survey, one in eight private sector job hunters said it took them more than a year to find the role they are in now, and one in four said it took between three and twelve months. In contrast, most of the pain has already been felt across the public sector, with demand seemingly evening out as we move into 2012. With the implementation of austerity measures last year, we are not anticipating a decline in demand, but it is vital to streamline efficiencies in house to stand a chance of profitability increases in the face of huge margin pressures.”
