Domestic Violence can be known as domestic abuse, child abuse or intimate partner violence (IPV). It can be broadly defined as a pattern of abusive behaviour by one or both partners in a relationship such as marriage, family, friends or cohabitation. Domestic violence has many forms including physical aggression, or threats thereof; sexual abuse; emotional abuse; controlling or domineering behaviour; intimidation; stalking; passive/ covert abuse and economic deprivation.
Caritas works alongside national charities providing Domestic Violence Case Workers, Project Workers, Refuge Workers, Family Support Workers and Managers.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years frontline domestic violence experience, hold a CAADA IDVA training certificate and possess strong crisis management skills.
